Brahman is the basis, the substance, the prime mover and also the ‘enjoyer‘ of the Universe. Krishna exhorted Arjuna to comprehend the omnipresent and immanent essence of the Brahman, the Godhead. (SSB 1979, pp. 24-25)

‘Don’t try to understand me, just enjoy my glory’. (SV90, p. 233)

The ocean throws out worthless shells on to the shore and hides precious pearls in its bosom. So too should man reject bad qualities and retain good qualities in himself. Finally he should give-up names and forms (non-self) and enjoy Sat-cit-ananda (Self). (Uniq, p. 149)

However high a bird may soar, sooner or later he has to perch on a treetop to enjoy the quiet. In the same manner, a day will come when even the most wilful, the most unbelieving, the most haughty and even those who assert that there is no joy and peace in the contemplation of the highest Self, will have to pray: ‘God!
