(Chapter 15, Verse 14)
‘As Vaishvanara, I have entered every living being and digest all the four kinds of foods.’ The Lord thus declares that He is within everyone as the digesting agent, who supplies nourishment to all parts of the body. God is present in everyone as ‘Vaishvanara’. Therefore, while taking food, you should offer it to the Divine first by reciting the shloka:
Brahmarpanam Brahma Havir
Brahmagnou Brahmana Hutham
Brahmaiva Thena Ganthavyam
Brahmakarma Samadhina.
(Brahma is everything; the offering is Brahman, the sacrificial fire is Brahman Brahman is the goal and the means). (SSS Vol.23)
God as love is dwelling in your hearts and, therefore, the Kingdom of Heaven is within you. When you know that God, who is love, is dwelling within you, then you realise this Truth in the freshness and beauty of the immortal spirit. Let thy life sing with the music of Love. (SV90, p. 213)
Without Charity and Righteousness,
Devoid of Truth and Compassion,
With a mind bereft of scruples
And filled with bad impulses,
The evil-minded man fares ill Here and Hereafter.
Oh foolish mind!
Seeking the Vision of the Divine
Where do you wander in vain?
What you seek is within you Know that truth.
