Greed for sensual pleasure will certainly act as rust! It acts as dust, which induces rust; the rust will ultimately burst the iron itself and changing its innate nature. So, it has to be tested, constantly, dusted. The dust of sensual greed can be prevented by keeping good company, and putting into practice the axioms of good conduct that one can imbibe from it. Imbibe the ideals of duty. Devotion and discipline. Devotion must be tested in the crucible of discipline. It must be directed along the lines of duty. (SSS Vol.4, p. 220)

In this age, students have to imbibe the nine important qualities, which are precious as nine gems. These are: spirit of sacrifice, humility, the spirit of selfless service to society, friendliness, discipline, commitment to integrity and truth, love, non-violence and faith in god. Students have to practice all these qualities in their life in order to make the country prosperous, happy and peaceful. It is only through these qualities that our student can be our nation’s treasure of virtue and ensure its bright future.

Dear Students! Without the nine sacred qualities enunciated above, all education is useless and valueless. Every person, who has a degree, cannot be called an educated person. The purpose of education is to foster the sense of oneness, the flowering of personality, drawing out divine qualities in man and making him shine forth as an ideal human being. But in the present day education, man is losing sacred and noble qualities, getting alienated from divinity and pure nature, Kindness and righteousness stand distorted. (BA, pp. 95-96)
