An ass once met a horse on the roadside and ridiculed it saying, ‘Poor thing! What are all those encumbrances on you? The bit in your mouth, the bridle, the blinkers and the rein etc. I pity you. Look at me. I am free from all such restraints.’ The horse retorted with legitimate pride saying, ‘Yes, it is because of these restraints that a horse is honoured and valued by all.
