Bad Looks

Coming to bad looks, we have an example in Kichaka. To a great extent 90% of you all are also Kichakas. All have bad looks. Even while travelling in the bus, you look at those standing in the bus stand or at least the cinema wall posters. Kichaka cast bad looks at Draupadi. Bhima noticed this and said, ‘Wicked man, because of bad times, we are moving in the forests and eating roots and fruits. We are suffering, but somehow we are protecting Draupadi. Her beauty is natural. But you are casting bad looks at her.’ Bhima took his Gada (mace) and smashed Kichaka’s head into pieces. Who is Bhima? Not the brother of Pandava. He is Vayuputra. Wherever there is bad look, there is Bhima. He will smash you with his Gada. Keep this in mind. Does anyone keep the name of Kichaka who had bad looks? But then why do you act that way? When you follow a similar path to Kichaka’s, you might not have his name, but still you are Kichakas only. (M, p. 78)
