Ritam

What is ritam? Trikalabadhyam ritam (ritam remains unchanged in the three periods of time past, present and future). (SSS Vol.35)

Ritam ( also ṛtaṃ) is the right wing of the bird Buddhi. In Vedic parlance Ritam and Satyam have been used as synonyms. However, there is a difference between the two. Satyam means putting your words into action, and factually reporting in words what you have done. Ritam, on the other hand, has a wider connotation, namely, purity, harmony and unity of the Trikaranas - thought, word and deed. We may also say that Satyam is concerned more with external world, while Ritam relates more to the internal world of mind and its modifications. Satyam is said to transcend time - past, present and future, while Atma transcends time and space. (ICS , p. 94)

The oneness of thought, word and deed is ritam. They represent the Trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshvara. (SSS Vol.35)
