Cowherd maid, a chief devotee of Krishna; one of Lakshmi’s forms. (Glossary for the Vahinis)
You can understand Radha only if you can fathom the depth of that thirst. Radha believed that Krishna is the adhara (basis); she did aradha (worship) to Krishna in a continuous Dhara (stream); in fact, she is Dhara or Prakriti, which is another form of the Lord, or Purusha Himself. How can those who are full of evil tendencies and impulses grasp that relationship? (SSS Vol.4, p. 48)
It is not correct to think that Radha is an ordinary human being and it is the name of a woman. There is no difference between men and women from God’s point of you. If one surrenders like Radha, whether she is a man or woman it will be considered as Radha’s aspect; whoever has this aspect can think nothing but God; they never think otherwise. Though a Jnani (Intellectual soul) lives in this world, he does not allow the world to live into him. To (explain) experience this, one should know about Radha’s devotion. (DD, 1991)
Radha, Radha, what a devotee was Radha. She was always looking for Krishna, always talking about Krishna. There was not a moment that Krishna wasn’t in her mind, in her consciousness. She was always looking for Him, singing to Him. Even when she slept, she had no other dream but Krishna. What a wonderful devotee was Radha. (WLMG, p. 130)
