Some people keep on saying, ‘We want Swami. We want to go close to Swami. But they don’t put into practice Swami’s words or ideals. Swami is not on the one side and His words on other side. Put into practice Swami’s words; then Swami will automatically be with you. If you keep on wanting Swami physically, but do not practice His teachings, then even if Swami is close to you physically, yet He is far away from you. So also, how many times you may come to Me and how often you listen to My words, but so long as you have no faith and do not accept My words and put them into practice, then there will be no connection between you and Me. This is not being said for My sake, but for the sake of the world. If you accept and practice My teachings, I belong to you.’ (NNSG Vol.4, p. 19)
