Moksha

Liberation, devoid of delusion. Freedom from bondage. (Glossary for the Vahinis)

Moksha does not mean attaining some divine state. Divinity is within you. All you have to do is to manifest it. That which does not exist, will not go away. Everything is present here and now. Hence, there is no need for any search or for any Sadhana. (SSS Vol.32 Part II, p. 61)

Do not be afraid of reaching the goal of Moksha! Do not conceive that stage as a calamity. It is the end of calamity. It is death to all grief, grief that will never more be born. Well, how do you prepare yourself for that stage? I must tell you that the answer is in that very word, Moksha, itself. It is self-explanatory.

Mo’ indicates Moha (Delusion; being deluded by the scintillating, the gaudy, the transitory, the temporary trash); and, ‘Ksha’ means Kshaya (Decline; disappearance, destruction). It requires you to keep the flights of your mind away from these deluding attractions, and on the straight path towards liberation. (SSS Vol.3, p. 178)

Moksha is an endless and infinite thing and Dharma is equally limitless. The word Moksha does not represent something which is exhaustible and which you can purchase from a shop. Moksha is regarded as a limitless entity. (SSB 1974, p. 63)

At the gates of Moksha and Sakshatkara, there are three guards posted to ask you for your credentials. They are Shanti, Santosha and Vichara; mental equilibrium, joy, contentment, inner peace, inquiry, discrimination, etc. (DhyV, p. 72)

Moksha is the Samadhi (or Shanti) attained through the Sadhana of Citta-shuddhi or cleansing of the inner man – the Sadhana of negating the impressions that one gets through seeing, hearing, reading, learning, doing and getting done. When Prakriti merges in Paramatma, it is called Moksha. (P.Vah, pp. 29-30/ 36)

Moksha is release from grief, absence of grief (Dukha vimukti ; Dukha nivritti ) and attachment of ananda (Ananda Prapti).Paramatma, the Supreme Self, the Sovereign Lord, is the embodiment of indivisible Sweetness (Rasa) the Treasure house of Bliss (Ananda Nilaya). Hence, those who seek and secure His grace gain Eternity itself. The Eternity thus gained has no place for the sense perceptions of sound touch, form, taste and smell. It has neither beginning nor end. Man must gradually and steadily endeavour to acquire that victory. He must proceed progressively from the gross to the subtle, from the subtle to the causal, and from the causal level he must finally merge in the Prime cause. That is to say, the spiritual journey has to be from Sthula to Sukshma, from Sukshma to the Karana and from Karana level, one must merge in the Maha-Karana. This is the regular route. (Sutra Vahini, p. 51)

You can get moksha (liberation) this moment, if you have acquired purity of mind (Citta-shuddhi). The only criteria is purity; birth is not important. God is beyond time (Kaalatita). The time factor is applicable to the Universe (Jagat) and not to the Lord. (SS Jul 88 , p. 185)
