Mantra-varnikam: He who is described in the Mantra portion; Eva: the very same; Cha: and also, moreover; Giyate: is sung. (Brahm Sutra, I.1.15)
Brahman is being, awareness, bliss (Satyam Jnanam Anantam Brahma)- (Tait. Up. II.1). This Mantra axiomatic formula also refers to the same ananda swarupa Brahman. Brahman is knowledge,Jnana: Brahman is infinity; Anantam. Satyam or Truth is a synonym for ananda, Bliss. It does not mean anything else. Satya implies indivisible, immeasurable ananda. It cannot be affected by limitations of space or the passage of time or the varying moods of the experiencer. ananda will itself purify time, space and the individual. These three are subdued by ananda; ananda is not subservient to these three; it is not bound to time, space or the individual recipient. Therefore, God only partially known through the Mantra; He does not limit the Mantra, the Mantra may limit Him. ananda is the bond, which binds both. (Sutra Vahini, p. 61)
