Kavi

Poet; seer of the future. (Glossary for the Vahinis)

Rishis could be called kavis, because ‘kavi’ means he who understood the past, realised the present and educated people for the future. Since the poet has a purified consciousness, he could pronounce impartial judgement on the past; he could lay his finger on the ‘ills’ and ‘wells’ of the present and he could recommend the paths for progress in the future. People could place faith in their words and listen to their calls. They would not mislead or misinterpret. (SSS Vol.8, pp. 122-123)

Kavi is called Kranti darshi; he is Mantra Drashta; his note is to interpret God to man. He should not indulge in meaningless talk, significanceless writing. That will be degrading his role. He should not be asking questions without end, for, he should seek in silence to get the answers, without infecting others with his doubts and posers. (SSS Vol.3, p. 208)
