Good

You should make an attempt to find good in whatever you see. Whether you see good or bad you must regard it as good. If on the other hand, if you begin to look for bad, in good things that you see, it is very sinful. (SSB 1974, p. 17)

What is good at one time and in one place may be bad at another time and in another place. (SSB 1974, p. 167)

The good that you do will guard you; have that faith rooted in your mind. Do not exalt when your desire is fulfilled; do not be dejected when it is not realised. Faith must be built on stronger foundation. (SSS Vol.9, p. 13)

Goodness is Godliness. Never talk ill of others; spend your time in showering love and in mutual help. (SSS Vol.9, p. 211)

When the decisions are good, good is the resultant when they are bad, bad happens. When Love is the lover that operates the mind, only good can result. Live in Love; Love is Life. Without loving or being loved, no being can exist on the earth. Love sustains, Love strengthens, Love is the urge being all adventure, all sacrifice, all success. (SSS Vol.8, p. 49)

It is not enough ‘if you do good’, what is more important is that you should become ‘good’. For, once you become good, everything you do will be automatically good. For this ‘atmavishavasa’ (faith in self) ‘atmatrupti’ (Self contentment) ‘tyaga’ (sacrifice) and ‘Atmanubhuti’ (inner experience) are needed. Then you will do good to society all the world and you need not worry at all about what others say. When the individual is good, society becomes good. When society becomes good, nations become good. When nations become good, the world becomes good. There is light when the sun rises and there is darkness when the sun sets. Therefore, the sun is responsible for both light and darkness. Likewise, for both good and bad, the mind alone is responsible. That is why you should mind your mind. (DG, p. 6)

The good that you do will guard you. Have that faith rooted in your mind. (DG, p. 186)

Everyday becomes good when you spend it for God. (DG, p. 297)

Can we say, ‘This is good; that is bad’, when both this and that are God’s Creation? (Uniq, p. 151)
