When man neglects the Divine aspect of their nature and fails to pursue the sadhana (spiritual

discipline) that ensures the awareness of the Omnipresent and Omnipotent Om, he falls prey tothe impulses and instincts dominated by the ‘ego and develops faith in material gains. He spendshis life in amassing wealth, power and authority over fellow beings and believes that holdingothers under his sway is a desirable achievement.

The Divine aspect of your personality will encourage humility, truthfulness, love, fortitude, detachment and eagerness to serve. Cherish the manifestations of these qualities in your life and practice these whenever you get a chance. The innate brotherhood that sanctified the human race is destroyed by the weeds of envy that grow in the mind. These weeds ruin one’s personality. (SSS Vol.14, p. 34)

Like fragrance in a flower, the divinity is latent in man and remains in him in an invisible way. Like the fire in wood, and like the oil in the seed, the divinity is resident in man pervasively. Not being able to understand this inner meaning and inner truth, people are externalising their vision and they go on describing it as the truth. (Div, pp. 14-15)
