Dharmi

The Anusvarupa (mirco-essence) of God is termed Dharmi. In this form, Dharmi is present in all objects in creation, but none of them is present in Dharmi. All objects in the universe appear as different from each other, but the Divine principle in all of them is one and the same. That Divine principle, which manifests the oneness underlying all objects, is called Dharmi. This means that Dharmi is what unifies all apparently manifold objects.

Dharma demonstrates the diversity in the forms of objects. The underlying principle which reveals the oneness of all these objects is Dharmi. This Dharmi is described by the Veda as MuladharaPadartham - the thing that is at the root of all things. This primal basic substance is the basis for everything else. Today the significance of this Dharmi is being forgotten. It is also forgotten that this Dharmi is all pervading.

As the all-pervading Dharmi (divinity) is present in all objects as the subtle atom, man is regarded as Dharma-svarupa, the embodiment of Dharma (righteousness). What for has man been given a body? What for does he exist? The scriptures say: ‘Sarirammadhyam khalu dharma sadhanam’ (the body verily is primary tool for realising righteousness). The body has been given to man to practise Dharma.(SSS Vol.29, pp. 4-5)
