Competition

There is an aspect called Competition. You compete with respect to quality, prices and durability of the product. Students must understand that competition is healthy only when quality is not sacrificed in the name of competition. It is unfortunate that in today’s market, nobody is concerned with quality but everybody concentrates only on quantity. When such substandard products are launched into the market, their value and demand drop. One must carefully analyse the situation and then strike a dexterous balance in terms of production. Think carefully if the market is going to attach any value to the product. Is it going to be attracted to the product? Concentrate on producing those goods that will be of good use to the public. When production increases, the cost price automatically falls. It is the manager who must look into all these aspects and operate accordingly. (M, p. 196)
