Mr. Ramakrishna (Chairman, L&T - ECC) had come and said that on the 5th of May 1994, there was a conference of engineers in Washington, USA. Experts from all over the world gathered there to discuss the achievements in the Building and Construction field during the past two years. Of these the Sri Sathya Sai Kalayanamandapam, Hyderabad was adjudged the best and given a cash award of Rs.50 lakhs. They also gave him (Mr.Ramakrishna) a gold medal. He said that it was all Swami’s idea and basically they were only the instruments and executors of the plans. They all have expressed gratitude to Swami because Swami had given them the required guidance. Swami needs quality but not quantity. You (Students) should also get quality. Whatever company or organization you join, you should see that there are no agitations or strikes and make the factory run smoothly. You should be able to contain tricky labour problems. Labour problems arise due to the absence of good management.  (M, p. 168)
